Applicable to the PyroSafety App for Fire Inspectors and to AmeriSafety.com

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how AmeriSafety, LLC (“AmeriSafety,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, transfers, and protects information in connection with (i) the PyroSafety App for Fire Inspectors, a mobile application (“PyroSafety” or the “App”), and (ii) the website located at AmeriSafety.com (the “Website”), together referred to as the “Services.” By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App or the Website, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Policy.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to all information collected, processed, or transferred:

  • Through the PyroSafety App for Fire Inspectors, including during its current development, testing, and beta phases, and following its public release;
  • Through the AmeriSafety.com website, including forms, account registration, downloads, and customer support interactions; and
  • Through related services, integrations, cloud infrastructure, and third-party service providers that support the App or the Website.

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, applications, or services that may be linked from our Services but are not owned or controlled by AmeriSafety.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Inspection data you enter into the App, including property information, inspection checklists, notes, findings, photographs, and signatures;
  • Billing and account information submitted through the Website; and
  • Communications you send us, including support requests, feedback, and correspondence with Company personnel.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information, such as device type, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information;
  • Location information, including precise or approximate geolocation, where enabled, to associate inspections with the correct site and to support field routing;
  • App and Website usage data, including features accessed, session duration, crash logs, and diagnostic data; and
  • Website analytics data collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies, such as pages visited, referring URLs, and browser type.

2.3 Information from Other Sources

  • Information provided by your employer or municipality when provisioning App access for fire inspection personnel;
  • Information from cloud storage, identity, or single sign-on providers used to authenticate App or Website users; and
  • Information from analytics, hosting, and infrastructure providers engaged to operate the Services.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the PyroSafety App and the Website;
  • Create and manage user accounts and authenticate App and Website access;
  • Generate, store, and transmit fire inspection reports and related records to authorized recipients;
  • Develop, test, and enhance new App features prior to and after public release;
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries;
  • Monitor, detect, and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and security incidents;
  • Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations; and
  • Communicate with you regarding updates, service notices, and administrative matters.

4. How Information Is Transferred

Because PyroSafety is a mobile application, information you enter or that is collected through your device may be transmitted from your device to AmeriSafety’s servers and supporting infrastructure, and may be transferred among the following categories of recipients:

  • Cloud hosting, storage, and infrastructure providers that store App and Website data on AmeriSafety’s behalf;
  • Software development and quality assurance contractors engaged in building, testing, and maintaining the App during its development and after release;
  • Your employing fire department, municipality, or inspection authority, for the purpose of receiving inspection reports and records you generate using the App;
  • Analytics and crash-reporting providers used to diagnose and improve App and Website performance; and
  • Professional advisors, successors, or acquirers in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger, financing, or sale of assets.

We use industry-standard security measures designed to protect data transmitted between the App, the Website, and AmeriSafety’s supporting infrastructure, including encryption in transit where appropriate. Where information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure recipients provide an appropriate level of protection consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

5. Disclosure of Information to Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information as follows:

  • To service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, customer support, and payment processing, under confidentiality and data protection obligations;

  • To comply with a legal obligation, court order, subpoena, or governmental request;
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of AmeriSafety, its users, or the public; and
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of some or all of AmeriSafety’s assets, subject to standard confidentiality arrangements.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies (AmeriSafety.com)

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate core functionality, remember preferences, analyze traffic, and improve the user experience. You may control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may limit certain features of the Website. We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals. Certain browsers and extensions transmit an opt-out preference signal, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC), that communicates a user's choice to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. As described in Section 5, we do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Where required by applicable law, we treat a GPC or similar opt-out preference signal as a valid request and process it accordingly.

7. Data Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information collected through the App and the Website from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure, including encryption in transit, access controls, and periodic security review of our development and hosting environments. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal and recordkeeping obligations applicable to fire inspection records, and resolve disputes. Retention periods for inspection records may be governed by the requirements of the applicable fire department, municipality, or regulatory authority.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (such as precise location access). Where we process sensitive information, including precise geolocation, we will obtain your consent before doing so, and you may withdraw that consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 13 below. We will respond to verified requests in accordance with applicable law. Certain information, including fire inspection records, may be retained where required by applicable law, regulatory requirements, or the record retention requirements of the applicable fire department, municipality, or regulatory authority. You may exercise these rights free of charge at least once during any twelve-month period. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. If we decline to act on your request, we will notify you of our decision and the reason for it. You may appeal by contacting us using the information in Section 13, and we will respond to your appeal within a reasonable period as required by applicable law.

10. Individuals Under the Age of 18

The Services are intended for use by adult professionals in the fire inspection field and are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from an individual under the age of 18, we will take appropriate steps to delete such information.

11. App Development and Beta Status

As of the effective date of this Policy, the PyroSafety App for Fire Inspectors is under active development. During development and any beta or pilot testing phase, additional diagnostic and feedback information may be collected to identify defects and improve functionality prior to general release. This Policy will be updated as the App’s features and data practices evolve, and material changes affecting development or pilot participants will be communicated in accordance with Section 12.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or App development milestones. We will post the revised Policy with an updated effective date, and, where required by law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
